Given that some of the courses at Kenyatta University are offered through the blended mode of learning, it is mandatory for students to either own a laptop, a tablet or an iPad for the online classes. Hereunder are the recommended specifications for each of the three digital mobile learning devices that can be effectively used for the online lectures:

A.Laptop

   2. The Processor should be at least Intel Core i3/Intel Core i5 
   3. The laptop should have a Memory of 4GB RAM/8GB RAM 
   4. The laptop should have a Hard Drive of 500GB HDD/1TB HDD 
   5. The laptop should have a Network Wireless Card supporting 802.11g/802.11n
   6. It should have the following Input/Output (I/O) Devices: 2 x USB Ports, VGA/HDMI Port, Inbuilt Webcam, speakers & microphone
   7. The laptop should have Microsoft Office, Adobe Reader, valid Antivirus software  Applications
   8. The laptop should accompanied by  1 x USB Drive of 8GB/16GB
   9. Should have a 1 year Warranty

B.     10.1’’ Tablet / iPad
