Entry Requirements
i. A holder of Bachelor’s degree at Second Lower level in a relevant discipline from a recognized University or any other institution recognized by the University Senate.
ii. Or a holder of a bachelor’s degree at pass Level in a relevant discipline from a recognized University or any other institution recognized by the University Senate and Three (3) years work experience in a relevant field
Duration and Pattern of the Programme
i. The programme shall be extended to a period of 24 months or two academic years or four semesters. Candidates will have the option of taking the degree by course work and thesis or course work and project.
ii. Students who opt to do the course work and thesis will take 9 units in their first year and do the thesis in their second year.
iii. Students who opt for the project option will take 13 units in the first 3 semesters and write the project in their final semester.
Examination
i. In each of the taught units the final written examinations will constitute 70% of the total
marks while the continuous assessment tests (CATS) and assignments will constitute
30%.
ii. Pass mark for all units shall be 50%.
iv. Projects or Thesis will be marked on pass or fail basis by a board of examiners constituted
by the Graduate School.
v. Project will be equivalent to 4 units while Thesis will be equivalent to Eight (8) units.
