AboutThe All Kenyan Moot Court Competition (AKMCC) is an annual National moot court competition hosted by the Kenyatta University School of Law (KUSOL) and involving all Law Schools in Kenya. The competition focuses mainly on matters of International law and is set to become one of the largest annual gatherings in the Kenyan legal calendar. DISCLAIMER
THE 10TH EDITION OF AKMCC WILL ADOPT A HIGH BREED APPROACH, IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN COVID-19 PROTOCOLS. THE PRELIMINARY ROUNDS OF THE COMPETITION SHALL BE ONLINE FROM 16TH- 18TH MARCH 2022. THESE PRELIMINARY ROUNDS WILL BE PURELY VIRTUAL. ON 18TH MARCH, TEAMS PROCEEDING TO THE QUARTER-FINALS WILL BE ANNOUNCED. THE QUARTER-FINALS, SEMIS AND THE FINALS WILL BE DONE PHYSICALLY AT KENYATTA UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW, PARKLANDS CAMPUS. THE COMMITTEE WILL MAKE ACCOMMODATION ARRANGEMENTS FOR TEAMS OUTSIDE NAIROBI, FROM 20TH MARCH, 2022. Dates: 16th to 23rd March 2022 Theme: "Electoral Justice; Building a system That Adheres to the Rule of Law" RECAP OF THE 9TH EDITION COMPETITION The 9th Edition competition and conference, unlike the previous editions, was held virtually. The competition took place from the 3rd of June, 2021 to 5th of June, 2021. The theme was “Combating Corruption in the Provision of the Highest Attainable Standard of Healthcare” The competitions commenced with a two-day conference that were held on the 3rd and 4th of June, 2021. The purpose of the conference was to have a group of stakeholders canvassing the theme for the participants to have a better understanding from the perspective of various government and non-governmental agencies. The competitions followed after on the 4th- 5th June, 2021. There were participants from law schools from around the country who proved their prowess in litigation as well as their knowledge in the law concerned. Kabarak University was the winning team, whilst Strathmore University Were Runners Up. Moi University won the best researcher category 2020 All Kenyan Moot Court Competition
